The History of TerraPura Sustainable Homes

Based at Trafalgar House in Newhaven on the South Coast of England, Terra Pura Ltd takes its roots to as far back as 1882, from the same site that Colgate & Gray established its own building materials trading company. Some 135 years later, in partnership with Colgate & Gray, TerraPura’s head office and manufacturing plant is now producing materials, and undertaking innovative construction to meet the modern needs of the housing industry.
Our head office and manufacturing facility spans an area of over 120,000 sq ft,  providing the flexibility to scale up production as demand increases. Currently standing at 1000 homes per year, our production capacity is increasing over 2017 and 2018 as we introduce additional personnel and state-of-the-art machinery, and invest further in design and engineering hardware and software.
Over recent years, TerraPura have made a number of strategic acquisitions of companies and businesses within the sustainable housing sector, which has resulted in the creation of a leading and cutting edge deliverer of high quality homes.
Our innovative construction process involves a practical combination of on-site construction and off-site sectional manufacturing. This creates a perfect balance between on-site efficiency of construction, and speedy, cost effective transportation.
TerraPura is the first major housing manufacturer in the UK to establish, and put into production a factory adjacent to one of its own major housing developments. This will provide major savings in terms of time, transport and cost, delivering high specification homes with a lower carbon footprint as a result.
Welcome to TerraPura. Welcome to a new paradigm in house building.
